Speaker Summary

Founder and CEO, Greg Dehn, launched Kaleidoscope to reimagine the way scholarships and awards are managed and disbursed. Greg has a vision for a future where any individual or organization can provide scholarships, grants and other awards, and applicants can find eligible awards for their unique interests and passions. Sites like GoFundMe and Kickstarter normalized supporting a cause or investing in a new product. With Kaleidoscope, Greg is making it possible for anyone to invest in someone else’s future.
Kaleidoscope was inspired by Greg’s own journey to higher education. When Greg was in high school, his father was diagnosed with ALS and his family could no longer afford to pay for his college tuition. Greg applied for hundreds of scholarships around the country and ultimately chose the school that gave him the most financial assistance. Post-college, he spent more than 20 years working in commercial software for companies like Target and Medtronic. Eventually, Greg realized he wanted to take what he learned from his tech background and help students fund their own education at a massive scale.
With over 1 million users and 300+ sponsor partners on the platform, Greg’s vision to build equity in higher education has made a significant impact on the giving process, streamlining the experience and making it accessible to all individuals and organizations. Kaleidoscope effectively unlocks the full potential of awards management for applicants and sponsors alike.
